명품학교 만들기 : 구체적이고, 명확하고, 선명해야 한다!

추상적 담론은 이제 그만!
총론만 있고 각론은 없는 회의도 이제 그만!
매번 회의가 끝나고 난 뒤에 도대체 무엇을 어떻게 하자는 것인지 
구체적이고, 명확하게 인지할 수 없다. 나만 모르는 것이 아니라 아무도 모른다. 
묻는 자에게 일이 전가될 수 있기 때문인지 아무도 묻지 않는다.

No more abstract discourse!
No more meetings with only a general opinion and no particulars!
After each meeting, what the hell are we supposed to do?
I cannot recognize the details of the meetings specifically and unambiguously! 
It's not just me who doesn't know, but no one knows.
No one asks what it is because things can be passed on to the questioner.

"문제점은 제가 총괄적으로 지적만 하겠습니다. 여러분 탓입니다. 여러분이 무능해서 그렇습니다.   
 그렇지만 여러분은 전문가 입니다. 프로페셔널이잖아요. 여러분이 직접 찾아내야 합니다. 여러분을 믿습니다.
 건투를 빕니다."

"I'll just point out the problem as a whole. It's all your fault. Because you're incompetent.
But you're an expert. It's professional. You have to find out for yourself. I believe in you.
Good luck to you."

- 불안감을 조장하고, 책임을 전가하고, 대책없는 불만과 지적만 난무하며, 본인의 잘못을 인정하지 않으며, 교사들 개인의 무능을 강조하며 모욕감과 죄책감을 심어주고, 마지막에는 어이없게도 답은 스스로 찾아내야 한다고 한다. 정시에, 정성을 가지고, 정확하게. 그런데 도대체 무엇을 정시에, 정성을 가지고, 정확하게 하라는 것인지 아무도 모른다. 슬픈 학교의 자화상이 아닐 수 없다. 절대 자신은 답을 모르고 있다는 사실을 자인하지 않는다. 그는 남들에게는 남탓을 하지 마라고 강조하지만, 본인은 남의 탓을 한다. 비난을 받으면 사람들은 침묵으로만 일괄하고, 속으로 두려워하고, 불만만 쌓여간다. 혼란스럽고, 부담스럽고, 낮은 효율적 구조는 전체 구성원들의 에너지를 고갈시키고, 소진시킨다. 병들고 시들고 썩어가는 학교의 모습 그 자체다.   

- It is said that the answer should be found on its own at the end, encouraging anxiety, shifting responsibility, rampant complaints and comments, refusing to acknowledge its own wrongdoing, emphasizing the incompetence of teachers and instilling insults and guilt, and, in the end, absurdly, finding the answer on its own. He emphasizedd "on time." But no one knows what exactly to do "on time, with sincerity, and with accuracy." It is a self-portrait of a sad school. He never admits that he doesn't know the answer. He urges others not to blame, but he blames himself. When criticized, people silenced, scared inside, and discontent builds up. Confused, burdensome, and low efficiency structures drain and exhaust the energy of the entire member. It is the very image of a sick, withered, and rotting school.

개인에게 집단에게 모두 구현하고자 하는 실천사항들은 구체적이고, 명확하고, 선명해야 한다. 작은 승리(small victory)를 추구하라. 추상적 거대 담론은 빈 유리잔과 같아서, 갈증으로 목마른 자들에게 마실려고 해도 마실 수 없는 잔이다. 아무것도 담겨있지 않은 진정성이라고는 찾아볼 수 없는 좋은 말 대잔치는 허무하기 그지 없다. 

Practices intended to be implemented for both individuals and groups should be specific and clear. Seek a small victory. The abstract giant discourse is like an empty glass, a glass that cannot be consumed by thirst. A good word-for-word feast without sincerity is futile.

"왜 비난을 강하게 할까? 남에게 죄책감을 심어주어서 결국 자신의 책임을 회피하려고.
 왜 구체적인 이야기는 하지 않을까? 책임을 회피하려고. 진짜 변화를 원하지 않아서. 변화의 방법을 몰라서." 

"Why strengthen the blame? He wants to instill guilt in others and eventually evades his responsibility.
 Why didn't you tell a specific story?
 I want to evade responsibility. I really don't want to change. I don’t know how to change."
